Bangladeshi-Irish model Maksuda Akhter Prioty has bagged the Integrity Magazine, 74th Edition Cannes Film Festival Top Model Award.
Prioty herself confirmed the matter in a Facebook post.
‘I have been awe struck. No words are enough to express my feelings. Winning the Top Model Award in a place like Cannes seems like a dream,’ wrote Prioty in her post.
Maksuda Akhter Prioty spent her childhood in Bangladesh and later moved to Ireland when she was a teenager.
Prioty won the title of Ms Ireland in 2014. Besides, she also won Miss Universal Royalty and Ms Earth International pagents. She was covered by the Ondine Magazine in May 2015 as the first Asian-Irish model.
She earlier published her autobiography titled Priotyr Ayna in the Ekushey Book Fair. The book depicted Prioty’s rise to stardom and the challenges she faced along the way.
She is currently working as a pilot.
