The absurdity of Molly-Mae Hague’s grandstanding has emerged – thanks to her £1million beauty deal… – The US Sun

LAST week she told fans you can achieve anything you want if you work hard but the absurdity of Molly-Mae Hague's grandstanding has quickly emerged.
Just a week on from her “tone deaf” remarks about poverty and success, she has landed her latest megabucks deal — a seven-figure sum from fashion giant Beauty Works.
I’ve worked really hard this week, but nobody has handed me a million quid — so it’s starting to feel like she might have underestimated her extraordinary privilege.
OK, I’ll spell it out. She has no clue whatsoever how lucky she is, given that 15 minutes of fame on Love Island and being reasonably pretty have made her a millionaire.
Molly-Mae is already on board as creative director of fast fashion brand Pretty Little Thing, after signing for a seven-figure sum last summer.
Now she’s signed an eye-watering new deal with the beauty business.
A source told us: “Molly’s range with Beauty Works was a bestseller so she’s signed with them until winter 2022. It's worth seven figures.”
Over the years, Molly has collaborated with other well-known brands including Starbucks and EGO shoes, and has her own fake tan business, Filter by Molly-Mae.
She has 6.2million followers on Instagram as well as 1.63million subscribers on YouTube.
The latest deal comes after she was slammed for comments she made about her success, on a podcast which went viral last week.
Molly-Mae said while discussing opportunities: “We all have the same 24 hours in the day.” But some listeners blasted the comments as “tone deaf”.
After a backlash against her remarks, she finally addressed the fallout and issued an apology on Monday night, writing on Instagram: “I apologise to the people that have been affected negatively or misunderstood the meaning of what I said in the podcast.
“The intentions were only to tell my story and inspire from my own experience.”
What a hero.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian appear to be having a contest over who is having the biggest whirlwind romance.
She got together with comedian Pete Davidson in the autumn and has already introduced him to her family and gone on holiday together.
The pair were spotted holding hands on a date night in Beverly Hills this week.
But her estranged husband Kanye is trying his best to rival their romance with latest love interest, actress Julia Fox.
They only met on New Year’s Eve in Miami, but he has already flown her to New York and Los Angeles.
On Wednesday night he took her to a party at LA celeb hotspot Delilah where she wore this skin-tight, revealing outfit.
They held hands awkwardly which makes me wonder how long this latest fling will last.
If he is trying to make Kim jealous by hooking up with a younger woman, I’m not sure it is going to work.
Amie Lynn Spears says her singer sister Britney launched into an “attack” on her when they were holed up together at the start of the pandemic.
The actress makes the explosive allegation in her new memoir Things I Should Have Said, just days after insisting she still loves her superstar sibling.
Jamie Lynn claimed she got a “wake-up call” when Britney “became enraged about something trivial” before things got nasty.
In the book, she writes: “She came at me screaming and getting up in my face while I was holding (daughter) Ivey, who was only 22 months at the time.
“Despite my best efforts, Britney continued on the attack and (my then-12-year-old daughter) Maddie had to get in between us to protect her little sister until my parents could finally get Britney to retreat.”
Speaking about the incident on US TV, Jamie Lynn added: “I was like, ‘We’re just all family under one roof. I’m not trying to argue’. And when I tried to remove myself from the situation, that’s when I guess she just got really angry.
“And my oldest daughter tried to, you know, mediate the situation. I hated that. Like, that’s not what you’re supposed to do – you’re 12.”
She claims her parents, Jamie and Lynne, then sided with Britney following the altercation.
She said: “They told me I shouldn’t be upset. Like, I can’t upset Britney. I said, ‘You just saw me and my children be upset. When will I matter?’”
I expect Britney will have a thing or two to say about her story.
Aquaman hunk Jason Momoa has announced his split from actress wife Lisa Bonet after 16 years, in a cringey online post.
It’s enough to make even consciously uncoupled Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin squirm as he talks of “seismic shifts” for the US pair, who share two kids.
He wrote: “We have all felt the squeeze of these transformational times.
“Our family is of no exception . . .  feeling and growing from the seismic shifts.
“And so we share our family news. That we are parting ways in marriage.
"We share this so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known.
“We free each other to be who we are learning to become.
“Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. May love prevail.”
Er, if you say so . . .
Last year he scored three Top Ten hits, had a No1 album and collaborated with Calvin Harris.
But the achievements aren’t stopping for Tom Grennan this year – he has just finished reading his first ever book.
The Little Bit Of Love singer posted this photo on Instagram of him on a beach, sipping from a coconut after completing Elton John's autobiography, Me.
Alongside the snap he wrote: “I chilled, ate too much and read my FIRST, I repeat MY FIRST, BOOK!”
Nothing says rock’n’roll quite like picking up a paperback for the first time, aged 26.
Jimmy Page just can’t catch a break.
The Led Zeppelin rocker is set to be embroiled in a third planning row at his Grade I-listed mansion in central London.
And he must have a serious case of deja vu, as it’s all about super-basements once again.
Jimmy previously lost a five-year battle over the issue with Robbie Williams.
And six months ago he lost a tussle with a different neighbour over the exact same thing.
Now Jimmy is facing plans for another huge underground living space, this time concerning the property that backs on to his house.
The co-founder of made.com Brent Hoberman has put forward plans to build a basement with a pool, sauna, steam room, cinema room, wine cave and staff bedroom in his £14million house.
Good luck, Jimmy. After your previous run, I think you’ll need it . . .
It had long been rumoured but now songwriter-producer Richard X has confirmed he once made Geri Horner so mad she locked herself in a car and refused to come out.
She had lined up a video director for his song Some Girls, only for him to give it to Rachel Stevens to sing, not her. It became a No2 hit.
Richard now says of Geri and the track: “There’s a story about her locking herself in her car when she wasn’t allowed it.
"My reaction was not positive as there had been this presumption this song could go anywhere, and Geri really wanted it. She just went nuts, apparently.”
He also claims she wrote a sarcastic song about him, never released.
He told the Such A Good Feeling podcast: “She did a beef record. It said something like, ‘Excuse me Mr X, can I kiss your lips?’”
HIS career started as a producer working with stars including Chance The Rapper and Nicki Minaj.
Now S-X is an artist in his own right and today he drops new single All Night with US rapper Trippie Redd.
And the Wolverhampton-born star – real name Sam Gumbley – says he feels he has come full circle.
In an exclusive chat, he said: “I’m nervous and excited. I wrote this song in Miami with RICO LOVE who has written hit records for artists like Beyonce and Usher.
“As a kid growing up, I was a producer first before I was an artist, so to work with Rico Love was like a childhood dream.
“It feels like I have come full circle to have him write the first single off my debut album, it is insane. Even saying it now has made me realise how mad it is.”
Details about S-X’s debut release are being kept under lock and key, including its name, but he hinted it will include more than one starry collaboration.
He added: “You can expect collaborations on this album.
“With the Trippie feature, we are starting as we mean to go on.
“I really like Pink Pantheress and I would like to work with her. I think we would make something super-exciting.”
Kendall Jenner put her best foot forward as she headed out for a night on the tiles.
The model showed off her pins in a leather miniskirt and matching boots.
She was joined by best pal Hailey Bieber as they attended a sunglasses launch in Los Angeles.
It’s the first time Kendall has been seen publicly since she was forced to defend the nearly naked dress she wore to a pal’s wedding.
She came under fire online for the racy black outfit, with Kendall later revealing she had asked permission from the bride to wear the attention- hogging frock.
Rising dance star Camden Cox has released her first single Over through RCA Records after signing a deal with the label.
Speaking about the track, she said: “Over is about those moments after a break up.
"They’ve ended it with you – but they’re still there. I feel like a lot of people will have experienced this during lock down.
Other acts with new tunes out today include Muse with their arena-ready anthem Won’t Stand Down and Josef Salvat with his racy song.
